Description
PAINTOFLOOR PUV is two pack solvent free heavy duty flexible aliphatic polyurethane used as non-slip flooring system and topcoat for concrete, ferrous and non-ferrous metal
PAINTOFLOOR PUV applied for indoor and outdoor applications due to its very high UV resistance
PAINTOFLOOR PUV has exceptional resistance to aggressive chemicals, impacts, abrasion and scratching
PAINTOFLOOR PUV is non shrinking Polyurethane concrete flooring system with exceptional resistance to temperatures from -40°C up to 120°C
COLOURS, GLOSS AND APPEARANCE
PAINTOFLOOR PUV is two pack solvent free heavy duty flexible aliphatic polyurethane with excellent gloss and smooth appearance
PAINTOFLOOR PUV available in white, grey, silver and available in a wide ranges of other required colors
BACTERIOLOGICAL RESISTANCE
PAINTOFLOOR PUV meets the requirements of the resistance to mold growth test in BS.5980:1980.
In addition, tests have shown that when PAINTOFLOOR PUV is used the pervious joint obtained does not permit entry of bacteria or dirt.
Thus normal cleaning can result in maintenance of sterile condition.
SYSTEMSPECIFICATION
PROTECTIVE COATINGS SYSTEM
System should be primed by PAINTOSEALER PU without filler .
Concrete should be cured for at least 5 days.
Concrete substrate should incorporate a continuous waterproofing membrane.
Smooth or new substrate should be mechanically roughened to provide an “Open Pore Surface” to enhance the effectiveness of adhesion & bonding properties.
For steel (Ferrous and non-ferrous metal)
Steel and non-ferrous metals properly prepared and blast cleaned to ISO-Sa2½
Bare Steel: Cleanliness Blast cleaning to Sa2 1/2 (ISO-8501-1:2007) or power tool cleaning to min. St2 (ISO 8501-1:2007) may be acceptable, subject to exposure conditions.
Shop primed steel: clean, dry and undamaged approved shop primer
Coated Surfaces: clean, dry and undamaged compatible primer
MIXING
When mixing the temperature of the base and hardener should be at least above 5ºC
At lower temperature the viscosity will be too high for application
No thinner should be added
Add the hardener into the resin container and then thoroughly mix using a low electric drill or manually until obtaining a uniform color using a low speed mixer or manually, avoid air entrapment.
THINNING
This product is solvent free, it is not recommended to add solvents or thinner.
If it is necessary to let product viscosity down thinning can only take place after the two components have been thoroughly mixed
Thinning range should not be exceed 15% with PAINTRA special thinner PAINTOTHINNER PU
